Iconic photograph symbolically depicting the breaking of the color barrier in Major League Baseball. Depicts Jackie Robinson waving his glove as he opens the door to the locker room at Ebbets Field containing the sign "Dodgers Club House - Keep Out." He is dressed in the uniform of the Montreal Royals, the minor league team from which the Dodgers' purchased his contract.

This image and other variants were published in newspapers throughout the United States.

Published in the Columbus (OH) Evening Dispatch on April 11, 1947 over the caption: "Jackie Robinson. That 'Keep Out' sign on the Brooklyn Dodgers clubhouse no longer applies to Mr. Robinson. He became a full-fledged member of the Dodger squad Thursday."
