JACQUES VILLEGLE

Born in 1926 in Quimper, lives and works in Paris, France.

Historic figure of French contemporary art, Jacques Villegle begins to collect mangled posters in 1949. With his friend Raymond Hains, Yves Klein then Pierre Restany and Jean Tinguely, he founded in April 1960 the Nouveaux Realistes group. In 2008, he had a retrospective exhibition at Centre Pompidou in Paris.
