Jade Jewelry of the Nanyue King

This set of jewelry belongs to the Nanyue King, Zhao Mo, is the most extravagant set of jewelry found in the tomb. It consisted of 32 components made of jade, gold, black amber and glass. The four major components, from the top the bottom, were a whirlpool-veined disc with phoenix pattern, an open-carved disc with dragon and phoenix pattern, a rhinoceros horn shaped Huang, and a Huang with double dragon patterns. In the middle, there are four jade human figures, five jade beads, four glass beads, two black amber beads, with a jade ring at the bottom. These components form a set of versatile, colorful and luxurious jewelry. It shows that the jade culture in the Warring States Period of China continued to exist in the Han Dynasty Nanyue state.
