철종 3년(1852) 순조비 순원왕후(1789~1857)에게 '선휘(宣徽)'라는 존호를 가상하면서 만든 어보이다. 순원왕후에게는 모두 13차례에 걸쳐 존호를 가상하였는데 이 '선휘(宣徽)'라는 존호는 6번째 올린 것이다.
