This zhang blade was made of grayish white jade, with yellow and black stains on it. This object has complicated decorations. A profile of an animal was perforated in the middle of the sharpened edge, which was unrecognizable when the partly damaged zhang blade was unearthed. Two groups of symmetric intaglio human-face patterns were carved on the both sides of the blade, and the parallel straight lines were carved on the both sides of the handle.
