Jaekel House was built in 1898 and named after Francis Jaekel, a former superintendent who actively served the Nigerian Railway Corporation for 3 decades. This colonial architectural style building once served as staff residence, today, it houses a mini museum showcasing basic railway transport artifacts and monuments. It also serves as a secretariat of the Joint Railway/LEGACY Committee. Jaekel House is located on the grounds of the Nigerian Railway Corporation in Ebute-Metta, Lagos.
