    Most of fences, walls and buildings’ facades in Warsaw are constantly being covered with notices in paint or chalk: POLAND IS FIGHTING – POLAND WILL WIN – DEATH TO GERMANS – DON’T FORGET OŚWIĘCIM – POLAND WAS, IS AND WILL BE – BELOVED HOMELAND – etc. etc. There is a symbolic sign – PW [FP] which means Polska Walcząca [Fighting Poland] – and it is visible all over buildings, on sidewalks, German cars, German offices, German coats in coffee houses, on German suitcases on the railway stations.
