This is a reproduction of quilted Jangot of Madam Yi. The basic form of Jangot (coat) remains the same throughout the centuries. Only small changes like the narrower sleeves and tighter width with minimized underarm gussets are noticeable. The underarm gussets gradually became so small that they are hardly seen. The madam Yi’s Jangot is quilted with tightly spaced stitching lines without any padding in between. It is ironed meticulously along each quilting lines from inside.
