A Jangot excavated from the romb of Lady Song of Eunjin, the wife of Jung, Eungdoo (丁應斗: 1508∼1572). Jangot was favored as an overcoat for women until late Joseon period. The coat is padded with cotton wool and hand quilted; outer layer is made of silk with a lotus and vine pattern. There are large armhole patches called Moo on each side, they come down along the side seam to help the ease of movement and retain the pleats of the skirt worn inside.
