This is a headdress that looks like a coat worn by a matron in the Joseon
Dynasty to cover her face during an outing. The overall shape is very
similar to durumagi, but it is worn over one’s head and clasped together
by the hand below the chin. Because it is worn closed, the jangot’s
left and right collar and seop(center panel) are always symmetrical.
