- Object Notes(japanese): 元時代に始まった器形で、青白磁、釉裏紅、青磁などにも見られる大ぶりの壺です。本来は蓋を伴い、酒などの液体を入れた容器で、日本では俗に「酒会壺」と呼ばれました。本器では、胴部中央に蓮池をゆうゆうと泳ぐ 鱖魚、草魚などを描いています。魚藻文は元時代の陶磁器にしばしば見られるテーマであり、江南地方の民間絵画の画題としても流行しました。魚の中国語音が「余」に通じ、財産が余るという吉祥の文様でもあります。また、卵を多く産むことから子孫繁栄をも表します。形、文様、コバルト顔料の発色などすべての点で申し分のない、元時代の青花磁器を代表する作品の一つです。
