"My ultimate hope is that others will feel joy and be inspired when viewing my quilts. Since making this quilt I've had many opportunities to work with quilters of all skill levels. It has been a rewarding journey sharing my ideas and methods in the hopes of enhancing their enthusiasm for quilts and art in general. For me quilting is more than a hobby. It is something I do every day - often all day. It is my passion. I wish for everyone a passion of that degree in their lives. When showing my art quilts in public venues, classes, and programs, my goal is always to bring pleasure and inspiration to the viewer."

- Audree L. Sells

"Javanese Jungle" was adapted from an original batik by Dutch artist Emilie VonKerchoff, which was featured on the cover of Needlecraft Magazine in 1933.
