Half-length portrait of Jean-Baptiste le Moyne, sieur de Bienville. He is shown in three-quarter view facing right. He wears a powdered wig, cuirass with red leather belt, red velvet pickadils, white collar, lace bow and cuffs. Affixed to the pickadil is a medal of the Order of St. Louis. The circular couter of his elbow defense is rent with a tear. He points to the right with his index finger.
