"In this pinnacle, climactic point of Martha Graham's "Prelude to Action" from Chronicle, we are stirred viscerally and levitated by an enormous vibrance of triumph and hope. I am atop the Isamu Naguchi abstract "drum" set piece. I feel as though I am the conductor overseeing our community and driving the group from a period of deep bitter struggle into a new energetic evolution of freedom, unity, and non violence. At this juncture the entire company is working in unison, becoming stronger, driving the negative out, and redirecting each other into the hope of a better future. We run with complete abandon, celebrating and moving onward together. Dancing this masterpiece was and always will be one of my most favorite and poignant times of my 18 year career with the company." – Jennifer DePalo-Peterson
