Composition in light shades of ochre, blue, green, gray, white, black and earthy tones. Smooth texture, marked brushstrokes, thick on the cross and in the hair of Jesus and spatula usage for the tunic of Jesus. Figures represented with significant and deliberated deformed expressions. It depicts the third fall of Jesus under the weight of the cross. In the foreground, in the center, Jesus fell on his knees, facing 3/4 left with head in profile and hair represented by thick texture and wears a spatula painted tunic on his arms. On the left shoulder bears a large cross in rose tones, whose vertical beam is being supported by poorly defined figure to the right. On the left, a walking girl, 3/4 turned toward to the right, with arms outstretched toward Jesus. She wears a short brown dress with white brushstrokes. In the background, a partial soldier figure with his left arm raised to the right, holding what looks like a whip. Background in light colors with geometric shapes standing out horizontally, the repetition form of arches of the rear facade of the Church of Pampulha. The strong contrast of light and dark tones accentuate the drama of the scene. .
