Salvadore Dali completed his painting "Slave Market with the Disappearing Bust of Voltaire" in 1940. Of the painting, Dali said he tried "to make the abnormal look normal and the normal abnormal." Springbok editions turned a portion of the painting, centered on the bust, into a circular jigsaw puzzle in 1965.
