The Drueke game company, founded in 1914 by William F. Drueke. Famous then for wooden crafted chess sets and other traditional board games, the company apparently took advantage of the American craze for jigsaw puzzles in the 1930s. Although "Farm Friends" may look like a children's puzzle, the wood manufacture and difficulty of assembly mark it for adults and families.
