Jigsaw puzzle | postcard:Greetings at Christmas Puzzle Gram

In 1940, when the craze for puzzle was still very strong in America, the novelty "puzzle gram" appeared for a short time. Senders signed a sticker which was fixed to a puzzle image of a Christmas greeting card. The sticker was cut on the puzzle's lines and the whole thing scrambled, then mailed in a small, thin box. The recipient had to assemble the puzzle to see who it was from, and then the box doubled as a frame to keep it whole.
