Frame puzzles for very young children help teach hand-eye coordination and are often found in preschool environments. Jigsaw puzzles began as cut up maps to teach geography to older students. Makers soon discovered that very young children enjoyed assembling simple puzzles and today they're produced in great numbers by multiple manufacturers. No maker marks this particular example but it resembles similar puzzles produced by Whitman and other firms.
