"I was scratching my nose...," Jimmy Connors explains to the chair umpire during 1984 Wimbledon semifinals match against Ivan Lendl. Connors had been warned for unsportsmanlike behavior after apparently holding his nose in what was taken to be a gesture of disapproval; he later received a $500 fine for the behavior.
