Jimmy Hill chair, 1961

This is the chair in which Jimmy Hill sat when negotiating the abolition of the maximum wage as Chairman of the Professional Footballers Association in 1961.

This was achieved in January, when Johnny Haynes - one of Hill's teammates at Fulham - became the first player to earn £100 a week.
