China National Silk Museum
Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China

This jin-silk sock, with the sole missing, is the only existent one of the pair. It was made of jin-silk decorated with petalled floral roundels, in which there stands a pair of confronted birds on a palm-tree-shaped platform, biting the same necklace-like item with three bead-string pendants. The area outside the medallions is also adorned with the same confronted-bird patterns.
