Of all the news editorial teams of the 1960s, special attention should be paid to the International Life Editorial Team, which was concerned with international news and commentaries. Significant personalities such as Šťovíčková, Dobrovský, Petránek, Jezdinský and Dienstbier (photographed) worked on the team in the 1960s under Weiner’s leadership. Their journalism was so diverse partially thanks to their access to information from Western agencies. During the Prague Spring, they addressed prevalent domestic topics and in the days of the August invasion they were among those who provided truthful information about the occupation and calmed the populace.
