Sutcliffe, Fustian Court, opposite the Exchange, Manchester, March 25th 1843. Print, lithograph, tinted and handcol. [cut to] 45x32.5cm., image 31.8x26.5cm. Motto of arms: KYND KYNN KNAWYNE KEPE. - "This portrait is most respectfully dedicated to the Right Honourable the Earl of Dartmouth by His Lordship's very humble & obedient Servant [facsimile signature] Thos Sutcliffe." - Issued by Sutcliffe, Kay's greatgrandson, probably to raise aid for inventor's descendants.
