Man's necktie in a cardboard tie box imprinted on the lid with "G.S. Harvale & Co. Ltd / P.O. Box #1519 / Cincinnati OH 45201". Tie has a navy blue ground with a repeating pattern of "Johnny Horizon '76" in white lettering on a 45-degree angle (slanting upper left to lower right) with images in light blue and white of Johnny Horizon's face and wearing a cowboy hat. Tie has rectangular tag on reverse that reads, "G.S. Harvale & Co., Ltd / Div. of Palm Beach Co., N.Y. / 100% Polyester" in blue thread. Johnny Horizon was a fictional character used as a mascot for the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management beginning in 1968 and lasting into the mid 1970s, primarily focusing on a message of keeping public lands clean. He was utilized in public service announcements, and celebrities recorded radio spots.
