“I am originally from Kotlik. I got married in June, he is originally from here. I met Freddy in Emmonak. I am an Administrative Assistant here at the City of Alakanuk. I do a lot of filing, organizing, and am a receptionist. Basically whatever Louis tells me to do. [Laughs] I moved here in February of 2015. I like it here, there is more to do here than Kotlik. I would say its bigger and there isn’t as much mosquitos here. We go fishing, cut fish for the winter, and go for boat rides when it’s nice. I work part time at the fisheries at Emmonak too.” — Jorge Edmond is Yup’ik and lives in Alakanuk, Alaska.
