José Luis Bazán

The common thread running through the work of this master leather craftsman is a constant exploration of the limits of the material. He revives traditional techniques, but also explores new ones, such as the oxidation of certain metals to obtain special colours. José Luis Bazán is a third-generation craftsman of this noble material. He works in the Sierra de Grazalema, a unique place in permanent contact with nature, which, due to its characteristics, has become the cradle of leather in Spain. His work has been exhibited in Spain, France, Portugal, Morocco, India and Italy, among other countries, and his products are sold in the United States, where he has collaborated with companies such as Loewe.
