A Scottish Cup winner’s medal from the 1882/83 Scottish Cup Final, awarded to Dumbarton’s Joseph Lindsay. The Sons won the cup with a 2-1 win over Vale of Leven in a replayed final, unusual for the fact that both of Dumbarton’s goalscorers were called Robert Brown. To distinguish the pair, one Robert was known as ‘Sparrow’ and the other as ‘Plumber’.
