Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775-1851), Ullswater, Cumberland. c. 1835. While travelling in Ullswater in 1802, Dorothy and William Wordsworth were moved by the beautiful daffodils, inspiring Wordsworth's most famous poem 'I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud' or other wise known as his 'Daffodil' poem.
