José Antonio Encinas

Portrait of "José Antonio Encinas Franco" (Puno, 1888 - Lima, 1958). Doctor in Letters and Jurisprudence (1918) and Doctor in Educational Sciences from the Sorbonne University, France (1929). Among other positions, he was a professor at the National University of Guatemala, Head of the Department of Psychopedagogy at the Liceo Aguayo, in Cuba and rector of the University of San Marcos in the period 1931-1932. He promoted the modernization and reform of Peruvian education.
