This is an example of a jug from the Hispanic Visigoth culture. It was made on a slow wheel, and has an everted rim and a barely shaped pouring lip. It has one oval handle that is attached at the rim and rests on the widest part of the ample body. The body is pear-shaped with a round bottom and no base. The clay is gray with lighter, ocher-colored areas. There is a brown engobe coating on the rim, handle, and area supporting the handle.
