Jug of greenish glass with silver weathering crust, excavated in Jerusalem. Fragmentary Greek inscription: "Ennion Made (It)"Blown in a three- or four-part mold, foot made in a separate mold; restored from fragments. This jug is from a spacious mansion excavated in Jerusalem's Jewish Quarter. It was distorted in the fire that devastated the city during its destruction by the Romans in 70 CE. Based on the way the shoulder is broken, it seems that the jug had a single handle, attached above the inscription.
