Julius Bruck (1840–1902), a Breslau citizen, the first associate professor of dentistry in Germany (1871), founder of academic dentistry in Breslau, professor at the University of Breslau. He is also remembered for his pioneering work on devices for illumination of body cavities based on the diaphanoscopy method (stomatoscope and urethroscope).
