Anna says: "Two years ago I gave up a 17yr career with an emergency service to pursue my passion to become a fulltime artist. When Covid -19 struck our country, I felt the need to help in someway, but felt helpless, so when I saw Tom Croft's campaign I jumped at the chance to at least bring some joy to someone and maybe highlight the courage and importance of the NHS. It was an absolute pleasure to paint Sinead Walton, it made it all the more special that she did not know anything about her painting. Her sister nominated her because she is just so immensly proud of Sinead."
Sinead says: "I’ve been passionate about nursing my whole career, and moved in to Intensive Care a few years ago. We could never have imagined a time like this, but I am so proud that the service, my colleagues and I continued to give the best care we could throughout. I feel really honoured to be recognised in this painting, and it will always remind me of the pride I have for our John Farnham Intensive Care Unit, Cambridge University Hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust."
