Justice Blooms

This is an exterior mural painted with latex paint. I wanted to voice my support for and offer a positive message to my community, of the Black Lives Matter movement. To get this idea across, I focused on emphasizing the word justice and putting a twist on the phrase ‘justice is love in action.’ I’m relating love and justice to flowers - love is like a bud, the flower isn’t fully formed until justice has taken place and it can bloom. To really show love for one another we have to ensure that justice prevails, all are treated equally and equitably.
