一原有徳 Arinori Ichihara (1910~2010)
A native of Tokushima. Ichihara spent his adolescent years in Hokkaido. From the late 1920s onwards, he began to recite haiku (俳句) while working as an employee of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (郵政省). Starting from the late 1950s he began to make full-scale prints by producing monotype prints. Then he announced a new printing technique which consisted in corroding various metal plates using various chemicals to print depressions, and produced a number of large-scale monotype prints.
