Staring back at the viewer is a portrait of an African male child. The cool blue colour can be seen splattered in different shades on the child's face, shirt and on the background of the painting. The textured surface gives the painting a Sculptural effect as well as the light which falls on the forehead, nose and shoulder of the child. Like many of his paintings that depict the human face, Segun Aiyesan in this piece captures the face of an African child.
