Pidhi (Stool)

The cotton ropes used in the webbing of pidhi are often made using threads from cotton spun on a charkha (spinning wheel) by the women in the house. Often only the legs and frame are bought from the local market and the webbing is woven at home or by a specialised craftsperson.
