Kano State is the commercial nerve center of Northern Nigeria. The state is home to major industries; textile, tanning, footwear, cosmetics, plastics, enamelware, pharmaceuticals, ceramics and furnitures. Created in 1967, Kano borders Katsina State to the Northwest, Jigawa State to the Northeast, Bauchi State to the Southeast and Kaduna State to the Southeast. The Capital of Kano State is Kano.
