The Ainus are aborigines of the northern part of the Japanese Islands, especially the Hokkaido Prefecture. Basically, dresses between men and women are not very different. and they are similar to Japanese kimono. This garment was mainly used as a robe of the elderly at the funeral or as a garment for the dead.
