In recent years, the urgent need to preserve the Chovgan game has been on the agenda due to the difficulty of breeding Garabagh horses, as well as to prevent forgetting the history of the Chovgan game. The fact of its inclusion in the Intangible Cultural Heritage List under the subheading “In Need of Urgent Safeguarding,” demonstrates indirectly that the cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people was damaged by aggressors.
