the only actor of the National Theatre who continued to work there throughout the entire Stanislavian period and later, until his death (1765–1806); the first performer of the roles that are considered classic today – that of Staruszkiewicz in “Małżeństwo z kalendarza”/“Marriage from the Calendar” by Bohomolec and Mr. Gadulski in “Powrót Posła”/“The Deputy’s Return” by Niemcewicz. In recognition of his talent King Stanisław August awarded him the title Primus Poloniae Actor (Poland’s First Actor).
