Karpniki Castle - a historic castle located in the village of Karpniki in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Karkonosze County, in the Mysłakowice commune, at the foot of Krzyżna Góra in the Rudawy Janowickie Mountains, Poland.
The castle was built in the 14th century, probably by Henryk Czirn, the owner of Płonina and Sokolec. Over the following centuries, the castle was rebuilt several times, and its current appearance dates back to 1846 and is the work of the German architect Friedrich August Stüler, using the designs of his teacher, Karl Friedrich Schinkel, from the time of his stay in Karpniki in 1832. In 1978, the castle was adapted for use as a recreation center, and later a sanatorium for children. Currently, the building is privately owned and operates as a hotel and restaurant.
