Kenya National Archives is the repository of several thousand books and documents from Joseph and Sheila Murumbi, Africa's most famous collectors. Many of these books were published before 1900. Among the oldest are those on slavery and East African history. Other books on display include Mau Mau, African art and culture and pan Africanism.
