This is a heirloom keris from the Royal Court of Badung, Bali. The blade is adorned with the carving of a lion, made of gold. The pamor (integrated motive) on the blade is called beras wutah (scattered rice grains) and kembang pala (nutmeg flower). The carved handle is made of ivory. This keris, following local traditions, was used during ceremonial occasions.
