Keystone, The Tribune, Portico of Glory

As established in the verses “the city does not need sun or moon to light it, because the glory of God illuminates it and its lamp is the Lamb” From this final fragment, Master Mateo crowns the vault with the keystone that keeps the image of the Agnus Dei, in other words, the Lamb of God. The tribune of the Portico of Glory allows to understand, from a global perspective, the interior of the cathedral and it’ sculptural ensemble. Further on, it allows to visualize and interpret how the exterior façade might have been and how the baroque is socked.
