Khokhloma

Khokhloma is easily recognizable with its red, gold, and orange berries and flowers blooming against a dark background. This Russian folk craft was named after the eponymous village in the Nizhny Novgorod Region where craftsmen began to paint wooden dishes in the 17th century.
