Khouttar, India Front view - In the scabbard

Musée de l'Armée - Hôtel des Invalides

Musée de l'Armée - Hôtel des Invalides
Paris, France

Narrow blade with two gorges ending in a triangular tip. The blade appears to be screwed onto the ears of the handle, which are forged with the guard. Very rare, Damascene decoration in peacock feathers, except for one of the ears, which has flowers instead.

The ears are encrusted with silver flowers.
