Khursheed Irfan Ahmed was born and raised in Sindh and was a student studying at Kinnaird College in Lahore in 1947. She recalls her pre-Partition childhood days and her diverse group of friends. She remembers that, during Partition, the registrar of her college was murdered. The campus took on a sudden deserted feeling after many students migrated to India. Today Mrs. Ahmed is a practicing psychotherapist and works mainly with women who have experienced violence.
