On the seal the Royal achievement for the Pfalz dynasty is topped with the initials C XII RS (Carolus XII Rex Svecia), but the seal originally belonged to his father, Karl XI. The astute observer will notice that the third letter in the roman numeral is slightly offset and evidently made after the first owner’s death.
